VGLAWYERS advises the National Fund of Greece (Growthfund) on the restoration works for the Domokos railway network

VGLAWYERS had the privilege of legally advising the National Fund of Greece (Growthfund) in the contracting process for the restoration works on the railway section Lianokladi–Domokos and the Domokos Railway Station, a project funded through a €14.5 million donation by the four systemic banks (Alpha Bank, Eurobank, National Bank of Greece, and Piraeus Bank).

Our team supported the drafting of the tender and contractual documents for this complex and strategically important project, which includes the full reconstruction of the signalling, remote-control and ETCS systems along a 40 km section, as well as the rehabilitation of the railway lines at the Domokos Station. All works will be executed according to enhanced resilience specifications to withstand future natural disasters.

Upon completion—alongside other contracted projects related to storms “Daniel” and “Elias”—the Athens–Thessaloniki railway line will be fully equipped with operational signalling, remote-control and ETCS systems, significantly improving the safety and reliability of the national railway network.

The project team was led by our experienced partner Mrs. Maria Psarra, who has successfully headed all related Growthfund assignments over the past three years.
