SME Fund 2026 – Grants for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

The 2026 SME Fund grant programme officially launched on 2 February 2026. It is an initiative of the European Commission implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The programme will remain open until 4 December 2026 and is addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) established in the EU.

The Fund provides financial support for services related to the protection of intellectual property rights, including trademark registration (national, EU and international level), registration of industrial designs, IP Scan (pre-diagnostic IP services) and Patent registration (subject to specific conditions).

The grant covers a significant portion of the relevant official fees, offering substantial support to businesses seeking to protect and strengthen their intangible assets.
